I want to perform during night shift

Better alertness during shift work

The 24-hour economy means that we work at times that are inconsistent with our biological clocks and our natural need for sleep. Complaints such as chronic fatigue, concentration problems and sleeping problems are common among employees.

People who work in shifts or irregular hours find it more difficult to maintain their energy levels. In principle, young people experience few problems, but older employees suffer more from this. Target groups include control room operators, doctors, nurses & ambulance personnel, police, fire brigade & security staff.

Customers

Applying biodynamic lighting reduces these complaints. The extent to which light influences this depends on the illuminance, duration of illumination, timing and the spectral distribution.

Biological, physiologically activating light

• improves sleep/wake rhythm
• reduces fatigue
• improves concentration
• increases alertness
• increases productivity
• lowers depressed/depressed feelings

Project analysis

The use of dynamic lighting systems is hot. Installing these systems without thinking is not the norm in our opinion. FluxPlus makes an analysis of the current lighting or the lighting that has yet to be installed for your company. In addition to an analysis, a functional Program of Requirements (fPvE) is drawn up by means of interviews. This provides insight into the vision, mission and strategy. In addition, it becomes clear what requirements, wishes, opportunities and especially expectations are. The results are tested against the applicable standards and recommendations for healthy lighting in, for example, control/control rooms or staff areas.

Lighting design & lighting scenarios

FluxPlus makes a light design with associated light calculations. In addition to the horizontal illuminance (vision), the vertical illuminance is also calculated (biorhythm). FluxPlus advises which luminaires are most suitable for each project. A lighting scenario is drawn up based on the various shifts.

Support implementation

Realizing biologically activating light within a space where people work at different times and irregularly is not easy. There is a great deal of uncertainty and ignorance about the advantages and disadvantages for employees, about energy consumption, the technical (im)possibilities and the costs that such an innovation entails. Many manufacturers and installers also believe that they have the necessary knowledge in this area, whereby they do not pay sufficient attention to the requirements and wishes of the end user. FluxPlus supports and advises with the fPvE in the implementation of dynamic lighting from the start of the project to the final commissioning (turn-key solution).

Knowledge transfer

FluxPlus’ knowledge and experience can be transferred to the personnel who will be working with the biodynamic lighting. It is important to know why biodynamic lighting is to their advantage, but also what the negative aspects are of using it at the wrong times. Attention is also paid to hormonal and metabolic processes related to the biorhythm.

Research

We are regularly asked whether the application of biodynamic lighting really works. Feedback from our own employees is often sufficient, but we can also commission an effectiveness study or a feasibility study. Where possible, we also try to find out whether subsidies exist to support a project. Experience shows that many subsidy options remain unused on the shelf.

The added value of FluxPlus

FluxPlus has a great deal of experience in applying dynamic daylight facilities for the office buildings and workspaces of organisations. The knowledge and experience of lighting experts Toine Schoutens and Esther Groenhuijzen guarantee professional lighting solutions, advice and guidance. We are happy to inform you about the possibilities and benefits for your residents and organization.
